

It will continue to become more intense, and be fully mature and united in lawlessness. Right now, there is evil, wickedness, and lawlessness on the earth. This is why we pray and this is why we invite Gods reign in the world and in our lives. We can still see traces of Gods beauty and His design. When we look at the world around us, we see that Gods will is not fully done.Its His desire for us as the Creator and Father in heaven. You and I choose whether we want to do what God wants or what we want. Gods will is that everyone be saved, that marriages and families thrive, that communities live in peace. But, His purpose will be accomplished at the end no matter what. Gods will is not fully done on the earth yet. One way to understand it is to think about the difference between Gods will and His purpose. Its a yielding, openness, invitation for Gods will in your life. It is to invite God to have His way instead of yours. To pray Your Kingdom Come Your Will be Done, is to open to Gods will. We experience brokenness in the world because of our rejection of God and His plan. God wants to restore the world to His original design. Thy Kingdom Come illustrates the truth that people need to invite Gods rule and power into the affairs of their lives through prayer. He is looking for a people who are surrendered fully to Him. The Bible teaches that Gods kingdom needs to be invited and welcomed. We pray Your Kingdom Come because God looks for a people to partner with Him in seeing His will done on earth. There are many presidents, prime ministers, and rulers on earth, but Gods rule and reign are above them all.īut doesnt God do what He wants anyway? Why does Jesus teach us to pray this prayer?
